Terms of sale and licence

AI to Office, a browser extension by Moshiur Rafi.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This is a small tool written by one person. It is not backed by a company, a support desk or a release schedule, and the terms below say so plainly rather than implying otherwise in language nobody reads.

Licences are not on sale at the time of writing. These terms are published in advance so that anyone can read them before that changes. They apply to purchases made once licences are available.

1. Who you are buying from

The extension is written and owned by Moshiur Rafi. Payment is taken by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for the purposes of your transaction. Questions about a payment, an invoice or a refund go to Lemon Squeezy; questions about the software come to the address at the end of this page.

2. What a licence gives you

A licence is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the extension on the number of browsers stated at the time of purchase. It does not transfer ownership of the software or of any part of it.

You may not:

3. Try it before you pay

Flashcards, CSV, Markdown, LaTeX, HTML and RTF exports are free and always will be. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF exports are free for the first twenty uses.

That allowance exists so you can find out whether the extension does what you need on your own work, with your own documents, before any money changes hands. You are strongly encouraged to use it. Buying without trying it is your choice, and the terms below apply either way.

4. Sold as it is

The extension is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

It is not warranted to be free of faults, to work with any particular document, template, journal format or version of Microsoft Office, or to produce a file suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for checking that an exported file is correct before you rely on it, submit it, or send it to anyone else.

In plain terms: check your documents before you submit them. This tool converts a page into a file; it does not know what your supervisor, your journal or your employer requires, and it can be wrong.

5. It may stop working

The extension reads the pages of chat services it does not control. When those services change how their pages are built, parts of the extension may stop working until they are updated, and some may not be updated at all.

There is no service level, no guaranteed response time, and no commitment to maintain, update or repair the extension. It is written outside its author's full time work, in whatever time is available. A licence buys the software as it exists on the day you buy it, and any updates that happen to be released, not a promise of any.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of data, loss of profit, missed deadline, rejected submission, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the extension or its use, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and whether or not the author was advised of the possibility of such damage.

The author's total liability arising out of or relating to the extension shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim.

7. Refunds

If the extension does not work for you, ask for a refund within 30 days and you will get one. No explanation is needed and none will be requested.

This is deliberately generous, and it is the reason the sections above can be as blunt as they are: you are asked to accept the software as it is, and in exchange you are never stuck with something that does not suit you. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy.

8. Your rights under law

Nothing in these terms removes or limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be removed or limited. Where such a law applies, it takes precedence over anything above that conflicts with it, and the rest of these terms continue to apply.

9. If something here cannot be enforced

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and the remainder continues in force.

10. Changes

These terms may change for future purchases. The terms that apply to you are the ones published on the day you bought your licence. The date at the top of this page changes whenever the text does.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict of law rules, and subject to section 8 above.
